The architect designed HoHum House offers one of the most private and spectacular beachfront locations in the world. It is situated on Windermere Island; a secure gated community, just over tiny bridge from the main island of Eleuthera. HoHum is a vintage bungalow-style home that blends seamlessly into the surrounding tropical landscape. It is an older home, that needs some updating, but remains a super cool hideaway, with a spacious layout and dreamy setting overlooking a turquoise sea and pristine coral sand beach. 
 
Relax in total privacy. This 2 bedroom, 2 full bath home is perfect for couples and families with kids, and it includes a separate guest house/art studio, with a 3rd sleeping area and small bath. 
 
The main house features smart tropical design, including all-tile floors, lots of big sliders for breezes, and high vaulted ceilings throughout. All rooms provide beach views and ocean breezes through large glass picture-windows and floor-to-ceiling sliding doors. Note: “Windermere” is very breezy, so AC is not always needed, but HoHum only has AC in main house bedrooms and Studio. Other rooms, like the main living room have ceiling fans. HoHum also offers wrap-around waterfront patios for outdoor dining and sunbathing. Some property improvements are planned in the near future (mostly to weather-worn exterior areas in need painting and resurfacing, and a few interior doors that need replacing etc.) but in the meantime, the house remains a Gem. Currently, it is offered at slightly lower rates than usual; perfect for guests who can appreciate a shabby-chic home in need of some updates, in exchange for one of the best beach house locations in the world.
 
Both the main house and guest house overlook 165 feet of pink sand beach and a calm Caribbean sea (the beach is protected by a coral reef, so it is especially great for kids, swimming and snorkeling). The beach also has powder-soft sand made from coral, so it is cool to walk and play on at all times, and it extends 5 miles for leisurely strolls in either direction. The location is a haven for sunbathing, swimming, and snorkeling straight from the house.
The main house has two spacious bedrooms, both with their own full ensuite baths. The ‘master-bedroom’ has a king bed, office nook/sitting area, and a large bathroom with double vanity sinks, bathtub/shower, and separate toilet, as well as a private gated garden area with outdoor shower. The 2nd full bedroom is also spacious with its own oceanfront patio, 2 twin beds (easily convertible to king) and dressing area with double vanity sinks, plus a separate bathroom with additional sink, shower, & toilet. Both bedrooms in the main house have private patios and face the beach, offering breathtaking water views and amazing sunrises. The bedrooms also offer privacy for 2 couples sharing the house, as they book-end the home’s spacious living room, full kitchen, and gorgeous glass-walled sunroom/breezeway with large dining table and sitting area. The sunroom sitting area also offers a good-quality (full-size) futon for kids or an extra sleeper. The whole house has patios wrapping all the way around, perfect for sunbathing, outdoor dining, and unforgettable sunrises and sunsets.

HoHum also has a bonus art studio/guest house overlooking the ocean too, situated about 100ft from main house. The studio/guest house is a great remote work space, or an extra sleeping space (with privacy for an extra couple or nice for teenagers who like to be nearby but still slightly separate). It has 2 twin beds (easily convertible to king). The studio also has its own ocean view patio, kitchenette, and a small full bathroom with shower, toilet, and sink. It was originally designed for use as an art studio, so it is an amazing place for painting and drawing, with lots of natural light, spacious counter work space, and a large island (some easels are available too)…plus views of the beach and sea are everywhere!
